New Nyx product review

Hihi~
I am finally home from a long day of work! And I am exhausted from studying my music history material for the upcoming exam. Thus I am going to take a break and share with everyone my new Nyx products.

Just about a week ago, my lovely best friend went out and bought me some Nyx products from Save On Foods. ( Because sadly thats the only place in Canada that carries the brand Nyx.)

Anyways, here we go:

1.  Nyx Slim Eye Pencil: $3.50 CAD each.

My friend (Sheep) bought me a total of THREE of these lovely liners, which consist of the colors Black, Light Brown and  Pearl White.  The three basic colors that I love and consume as if it's my favorite raspberry pie. These colors basically go with anything which is why i believe anyone that is starting out with make up should start with these three colors.

At any rate, how well and smooth of these liners went on my skin still leaves a smile on my face. I've tried all sorts of the regular drug store eyeliner such as Rimmel, Revlon, NYC, and so on. But honestly none of them has satisfy me fully, thus the reason why I have a lot of left over liners that I do not like. Instead I would spend my money at MAC for an eyeliner that is around 18.50 each!  BUT after finding this product I don't think I need to spurge as much money on smooth liners again.

One particular thing that bothered me with this liner came up only with the color black. It was not black enough for me. Maybe it was because I love the contrast of Black against my eye shadow colors or just because it seems to make my eye look brighter anyhow, after applying the black nyx liner I would always have to reapply the black eye shadow "Creep" from my Naked, to darken the color.

Other than the black liner, I am perfectly satisfy with the Pearl White and Light Brown. It gave me the light look I was looking for. The light brown was comparable to one of my more favorable brown liner from Estee Lauder. ( Which I would share a picture with you guys right below! )

Hah, this is obviously not the coffee brown liner I was talking about, ( I couldn't find a picture of it) but it is the same brand and line of liners i am talking about the Double-Wear Stay in place eye pencil which costs about $20 dollars per one. In any case, as I was saying before Nyx liners could easily act as a replacement for these expensive liners for me.

2. Nyx Single Eye shadow. $5.50 CADeach

The massive variety of colors for this product makes me high and beyond hyper when I first encountered the brand and line of eye shadow. The colors all looked so luscious and lively; it was almost edible! This time Sheep got me two eye shadows to try out: Cool Blue, and Lagoon Sparkle.

I honestly wish I can say when I tried these colours it made me as high and happy as when i first found out about these eye shadows. Perhaps I had too high of an expectation, but the colours were 100 percent not pigmented enough. It would be okay if I used these colors to tone down some of my color liners, but if i were to wear them as just plain eye shadows adorn with black liners. It is not bright enough nor natural enough.

Next time, (maybe because of the colors I got was just not right for me skin tone) I think I'll test out some other colours from Nyx before saying a big fat NO to it. For many people do have good reviews for this product. I just happen to fail to see the goodness of these eye shadow just yet. (Perhaps I should try Frost Ocean, which is a very nice Navy colour.)

Josie's Overall Rating: **

I shall be updating a new post soon about my recently bought Josie Maran Bronzer. But for a preview let me tell you, its BEAUTIFUL! (: Oh, and coming soon I will talk about some hair products I absolutely love because of how well it keeps in the purple in my hair as well as new hair products I bought.

Okay guys, bye~

With love, Josie.
