Besides that I went to the Fair at Playland yesterday! It was raining mackerels and buckets, but neverless I had tons of fun. The new ride, the Atmosphere was not scary at all, but rather it gave a beautiful view to Van City especially at night. And one fact I love to point out is that if its raining as much as it was when I went (y'know with big fat raindrops that when in contact with your umbrella would make a PLOP PLOP sound?) then it's so easy to get on to rides the lines are SUPER short!
Anyways, I want to go back onto talking about the Atmosphere at Playland. I don't know how many of you have gone on and especially on at night....but did y'know that your BUTT lights up when the skies turn navy? (Okay, not to scare those who don't enjoy a possible fire on their ass... your butt don't actually catch on fire or anything... of course unless you ate a super spicy burrito, but otherwise there are lights on the bottom of the seat on the Atmosphere) I would say people who are slightly scared of heights can still go on and be fine because when you are on the ride you don't actually look straight down but rather it's just the beautiful view.
The popular show at the Fair that I would have to go at least once a year to see is SUPERDOGS. Those doggies are just so adorable. I've become rather attached to them. Quite literally the super fluffy ones to the super skinny ones. I guess this show makes up for the whole lonely year I have to live with out a pup. T^T. Haha even though I want a cute pup, I would be a horrible owner.... I am so lazy!
So this year there is a new show at the Fair. Peking Acrobats are in town, baby! I was super excited for this particular show at first because for one thing I LOVE NAKED MEN WHO ARE BUFF.... and on top of that they can do acrobatics? Damn. Ahem... haha but besides that I love acrobatics in general. But sadly the particular acrobatic show at the Fair didn't satisfy me or at least didn't live up to my expectation. There were naked men or I should say topless men (with a full on oil rub, if I may add on) But their act wasn't flawless unlike some other acrobatic crews. Then again I do understand the stuff they do IS SUPER AMAZING AND DIFFICULT. They are able to flawless make up for the wrongs though. But honestly I personally though it could have been better.
Forewarning: The following content will contain some personal opinions on flying men. Your discretion is advised.
Any case the motorbike show at the fair was INTENSE. Bikes flew. Dirt scattered. And fire flamed..... AND THE BIKERS WERE SO BAD BOY! Goodness when those bikers were in the air, I swear my heart was in my throat. They let go of the bike entirely at times and it was so stunning. I just have to say that men with bikes that fly are smoking sexy. Flying women on the other hand is also totally hot, but damn men WITH BIKES AND CONFIDENCE AND FLY (then fall) is MmMMMmmmm delicious. ;D
So since yesterday skies were weeping, I took extra care of how I did my make up so it won't make me look like raccoon or perhaps some other mix breed of raccoon and panda in the rain.

There were obviously some other products that I used, but at the moment these are the ones that I love and worked for the best.
I also recently got some new products that I've finally tried out long enough to give reviews for:
1. Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer. $22 CAD
I didn't technically get this particular one in the picture. I got a smaller version of it for only $22 CAD to try out. (I got it at Sephora) Many people does have very good reviews on this tinted moisturizer and I would agree on the good coverage everyone seem to claim it gives. One particular fact I like about this moisturizer is that it is tinted and has SPF. It is similar to BB cream, so for those who already has BB cream that they love to death, asks me if they should spend $47 dollars on the full bottle or tube of Laura Mercier I would tell them no. Just stick with their BB cream. A difference between BB cream and this tinted moisturizer is that it doesn't not oxidize, (or not enough for me to notice). Like the BB cream it does give nice and light feeling coverage.

2.Stila Stay All Day Long Waterproof Liquid Liner. $26 CAD
Did I mention this was waterproof? I know the name of this product already tells you, but it is WATERPROOF. It can rain dogs and cats and mackerels and buckets and boots and heels, but you'll still have those fine fine eyes with the elegant and clean lining of this liner. See... this is the thing.... I love liquid liners because they don't smudge generally after they dry. And on top of that it's WATERPROOF? Well, you can go on a mission impossible and still look flawless. A definite to die for in the Stila liquid liner other than it's super waterproof- ness is the thin yet easy to control tip of the brush. Even for those people who have shaky hands will find it easy to apply!

3.Benefit's Finding Mr. Bright $40
I love the title of this product. It's cute in terms of how it really does describes the four products. These products does lighten up your face very well. I haven't tried the Posie tint because I gave it to my mom since I was going to get her a tint anyways and well I let her try the Posie tint first before I give her perhaps the Benetint. The Highbeam I would have to say works excellent as a high lighter on your nose and cheek bones. It has a slight pearly shine to it that also brighten the face. It is not a powder substance so you will not get a powdery look if you happen to apply too much. Erase Paste is actually a very creamy concealer. It goes on very easily and it does it's job in covering blemishes. After a weeks use, it has become my favourite concealer for blemishes and dark circles because of it's quick and easy application. For those who don't use concealer because sometimes it makes you feel like your make up is too heavy, the erase paste will not give you that feeling. Girl meets Pearl is a pink golden pearl liquid highlighter. Although the Highbeam is already very nice highlighter itself, if you are looking for something that looks softer and perhaps closer to a tanned colour then I would suggest the Girl meets Pearl product. I personally like the Highbeam better because of it's easy application. The Girl meets Pearl does have a very nice golden pink hue to it though.
As for an overall review on all these four products I have to say the pricing is a little expensive for such small portions. It's nice how there is such variety and the small amount has it's benefits in terms of carrying it in your purse. (Great size for travelling) I would prefer if they gave me more of the Highbeam in replace of the Girl meets pearl because I found the Highbeam more useful. If I were to only buy the three out of four products in this kit I believe that its more worth it if you are planning to use it daily, to just buy them separately in bigger sizes. It will save you the gas money AND time overall.

4. Kat Von D Truth Eyeshadow $15CAD
This palette comes with very vibrant and pigmented colours. It stays on your lids every nicely even without primer. Although it does show up more vibrant with primer. The lightest colour which is a light green is a very nice highlighter for the brow bone and inner eye corner. Out of the eight colours, one of them is a cream shadow. A very nice feature of the Kat Von D Palettes is that all the colours blend and match very nicely, and if you are having a lazy day then you don't even have to think of what colors to match your eyeshadows.
Josie's Overall Rating: ***(+*) This gets a plus star because of the cheap pricing and of how nicely it blends.
SALE TIME!
I realize that summer is almost over and school or work or what ever people may have will start again. Thus I spent a little bit of my time to look and find deals for back to school and or back to work.
Most people would not believe me if I told them I actually really love going to Sears. Haha. Especially if I told everyone that there is a very nice CONAIR hair straightener there for sale for $19.99 CAD and not only that it comes in very cute prints such as leopard or zebra.
There are also collage picture frames for 25% off! As well as other wall decors such as metal chrome flowers for your walls ( it's super girly and cute) for around $10 CAD.
Looking for a new agenda? Well, Chapters or Indigo is having a 20% off their agendas before the 28th of August. ( This means you can get that moleskin agenda you've always wanted! .... or not.)
Chapters is also offering 50% on their super amazing chess bookends. That means no more school books or work documents falling off your open shelves!
Oh no! Broken mouse before school starts? Well, you can get a super cute ladybug mouse at Chapters for also 50% off at around $15.00 CAD.
Looks like our home for school and office supplies, Staples is having their back to school less than a loonie sale again. I personally have not checked it out yet but I will soon.
For those who are looking into getting a small portable netbook to go the classes (y'know to look that more sophisticated and efficient) Future shop is offering Acer netbooks for around $230.00 CAD as well as there are Compaq laptops for a little over $300.00 CAD.
Although if you are wanting to spend more on a laptop so you can get a cuter and more efficient laptop, I would most likely go with HP 15.6" Intel Core i3-370M in Sweet Purple. I LOVE PURPLE!
Since school is starting soon, some of us may want to capture every moment and Future has a great deal on a pink Sony cyber shot for around $150.00 CAD. Or there is a sleek black one for even cheaper. (Now capturing those memorable moments would be so much cheaper!)
I will continue my back to school sale information on a later post because this particular post is already so long! But don't worry, there would be back to school clothes, shoes, make up sales PLUS MORE!
Love Josie.
