Lies, Playland, and new products + more
Ahem... I realize that I don't keep my promises very well on my blog. Haha. So.... I am sorry but I actually don't have model pictures today. I want to tell everyone that I will have them tomorrow.... but I don't want to lie again. Thus they shall go up when I have time to take them!

I also recently got some new products that I've finally tried out long enough to give reviews for:
1. Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer. $22 CAD
I didn't technically get this particular one in the picture. I got a smaller version of it for only $22 CAD to try out. (I got it at Sephora) Many people does have very good reviews on this tinted moisturizer and I would agree on the good coverage everyone seem to claim it gives. One particular fact I like about this moisturizer is that it is tinted and has SPF. It is similar to BB cream, so for those who already has BB cream that they love to death, asks me if they should spend $47 dollars on the full bottle or tube of Laura Mercier I would tell them no. Just stick with their BB cream. A difference between BB cream and this tinted moisturizer is that it doesn't not oxidize, (or not enough for me to notice). Like the BB cream it does give nice and light feeling coverage.

2.Stila Stay All Day Long Waterproof Liquid Liner. $26 CAD
Did I mention this was waterproof? I know the name of this product already tells you, but it is WATERPROOF. It can rain dogs and cats and mackerels and buckets and boots and heels, but you'll still have those fine fine eyes with the elegant and clean lining of this liner. See... this is the thing.... I love liquid liners because they don't smudge generally after they dry. And on top of that it's WATERPROOF? Well, you can go on a mission impossible and still look flawless. A definite to die for in the Stila liquid liner other than it's super waterproof- ness is the thin yet easy to control tip of the brush. Even for those people who have shaky hands will find it easy to apply!
Josie's Overall Rating: *****
3.Benefit's Finding Mr. Bright $40
I love the title of this product. It's cute in terms of how it really does describes the four products. These products does lighten up your face very well. I haven't tried the Posie tint because I gave it to my mom since I was going to get her a tint anyways and well I let her try the Posie tint first before I give her perhaps the Benetint. The Highbeam I would have to say works excellent as a high lighter on your nose and cheek bones. It has a slight pearly shine to it that also brighten the face. It is not a powder substance so you will not get a powdery look if you happen to apply too much. Erase Paste is actually a very creamy concealer. It goes on very easily and it does it's job in covering blemishes. After a weeks use, it has become my favourite concealer for blemishes and dark circles because of it's quick and easy application. For those who don't use concealer because sometimes it makes you feel like your make up is too heavy, the erase paste will not give you that feeling. Girl meets Pearl is a pink golden pearl liquid highlighter. Although the Highbeam is already very nice highlighter itself, if you are looking for something that looks softer and perhaps closer to a tanned colour then I would suggest the Girl meets Pearl product. I personally like the Highbeam better because of it's easy application. The Girl meets Pearl does have a very nice golden pink hue to it though.
As for an overall review on all these four products I have to say the pricing is a little expensive for such small portions. It's nice how there is such variety and the small amount has it's benefits in terms of carrying it in your purse. (Great size for travelling) I would prefer if they gave me more of the Highbeam in replace of the Girl meets pearl because I found the Highbeam more useful. If I were to only buy the three out of four products in this kit I believe that its more worth it if you are planning to use it daily, to just buy them separately in bigger sizes. It will save you the gas money AND time overall.

4. Kat Von D Truth Eyeshadow $15CAD
The original price of this palette is $34 CAD but due to the change of packaging Sephora is selling the old packaged goods for only $15CAD!
This palette comes with very vibrant and pigmented colours. It stays on your lids every nicely even without primer. Although it does show up more vibrant with primer. The lightest colour which is a light green is a very nice highlighter for the brow bone and inner eye corner. Out of the eight colours, one of them is a cream shadow. A very nice feature of the Kat Von D Palettes is that all the colours blend and match very nicely, and if you are having a lazy day then you don't even have to think of what colors to match your eyeshadows.
Josie's Overall Rating: ***(+*) This gets a plus star because of the cheap pricing and of how nicely it blends.
Looking for a new agenda? Well, Chapters or Indigo is having a 20% off their agendas before the 28th of August. ( This means you can get that moleskin agenda you've always wanted! .... or not.)
Chapters is also offering 50% on their super amazing chess bookends. That means no more school books or work documents falling off your open shelves!

Besides that I went to the Fair at Playland yesterday! It was raining mackerels and buckets, but neverless I had tons of fun. The new ride, the Atmosphere was not scary at all, but rather it gave a beautiful view to Van City especially at night. And one fact I love to point out is that if its raining as much as it was when I went (y'know with big fat raindrops that when in contact with your umbrella would make a PLOP PLOP sound?) then it's so easy to get on to rides the lines are SUPER short!
Anyways, I want to go back onto talking about the Atmosphere at Playland. I don't know how many of you have gone on and especially on at night....but did y'know that your BUTT lights up when the skies turn navy? (Okay, not to scare those who don't enjoy a possible fire on their ass... your butt don't actually catch on fire or anything... of course unless you ate a super spicy burrito, but otherwise there are lights on the bottom of the seat on the Atmosphere) I would say people who are slightly scared of heights can still go on and be fine because when you are on the ride you don't actually look straight down but rather it's just the beautiful view.
The popular show at the Fair that I would have to go at least once a year to see is SUPERDOGS. Those doggies are just so adorable. I've become rather attached to them. Quite literally the super fluffy ones to the super skinny ones. I guess this show makes up for the whole lonely year I have to live with out a pup. T^T. Haha even though I want a cute pup, I would be a horrible owner.... I am so lazy!
So this year there is a new show at the Fair. Peking Acrobats are in town, baby! I was super excited for this particular show at first because for one thing I LOVE NAKED MEN WHO ARE BUFF.... and on top of that they can do acrobatics? Damn. Ahem... haha but besides that I love acrobatics in general. But sadly the particular acrobatic show at the Fair didn't satisfy me or at least didn't live up to my expectation. There were naked men or I should say topless men (with a full on oil rub, if I may add on) But their act wasn't flawless unlike some other acrobatic crews. Then again I do understand the stuff they do IS SUPER AMAZING AND DIFFICULT. They are able to flawless make up for the wrongs though. But honestly I personally though it could have been better.
Forewarning: The following content will contain some personal opinions on flying men. Your discretion is advised.
Any case the motorbike show at the fair was INTENSE. Bikes flew. Dirt scattered. And fire flamed..... AND THE BIKERS WERE SO BAD BOY! Goodness when those bikers were in the air, I swear my heart was in my throat. They let go of the bike entirely at times and it was so stunning. I just have to say that men with bikes that fly are smoking sexy. Flying women on the other hand is also totally hot, but damn men WITH BIKES AND CONFIDENCE AND FLY (then fall) is MmMMMmmmm delicious. ;D
So since yesterday skies were weeping, I took extra care of how I did my make up so it won't make me look like raccoon or perhaps some other mix breed of raccoon and panda in the rain.

SALE TIME!
I realize that summer is almost over and school or work or what ever people may have will start again. Thus I spent a little bit of my time to look and find deals for back to school and or back to work.
Most people would not believe me if I told them I actually really love going to Sears. Haha. Especially if I told everyone that there is a very nice CONAIR hair straightener there for sale for $19.99 CAD and not only that it comes in very cute prints such as leopard or zebra.
There are also collage picture frames for 25% off! As well as other wall decors such as metal chrome flowers for your walls ( it's super girly and cute) for around $10 CAD.
Oh no! Broken mouse before school starts? Well, you can get a super cute ladybug mouse at Chapters for also 50% off at around $15.00 CAD.
Looks like our home for school and office supplies, Staples is having their back to school less than a loonie sale again. I personally have not checked it out yet but I will soon.
For those who are looking into getting a small portable netbook to go the classes (y'know to look that more sophisticated and efficient) Future shop is offering Acer netbooks for around $230.00 CAD as well as there are Compaq laptops for a little over $300.00 CAD.
Although if you are wanting to spend more on a laptop so you can get a cuter and more efficient laptop, I would most likely go with HP 15.6" Intel Core i3-370M in Sweet Purple. I LOVE PURPLE!
Since school is starting soon, some of us may want to capture every moment and Future has a great deal on a pink Sony cyber shot for around $150.00 CAD. Or there is a sleek black one for even cheaper. (Now capturing those memorable moments would be so much cheaper!)
I will continue my back to school sale information on a later post because this particular post is already so long! But don't worry, there would be back to school clothes, shoes, make up sales PLUS MORE!
Love Josie.

Sephora REVIEW; New mascara; sales, and more
Hello hello~
Guess what? I am FINALLY FREE! Classes are finally over and I can blog more! YAY! (:
So today I am going to do what I promised I would do.... do a review on my new Sephora products.
Before I've actually tried the Sephora brand products I didn't have all that great of an idea of what to expect.I mean if you were to compare the pricing of the other products sold at Sephora, their own collection is the cheapest. Sometimes the pricing was even around department store make up price! (Not to sound snobby, but i wasn't sure of how the quality was) So I admit I did hold off a while before I decided to try the Sephora Collection.
Anyways, onto the actual review!
1. Sephora Collection: Blush Me. $5 ON SALE PRICE
Okay, I mainly got this product because it was on sale~ Haha. Who doesn't like a good sale item? I sure do!
This blush isn't the worst nor the best blush out there. I personally got the "apricot sheen" colour. It does contour my cheeks well, but there is a sparkle to it which slightly makes me look like Edward Cullen Alice Cullen from Twilight. I am satisfy with the healthy looking glow I am able to achieve with this but reapplication is required. Also a friend of mine who has this advised me not to drop it because it WILL crack easily unlike some other blushes.
If you are planning to get this, I am not sure if they still have the sale price. Also they have a new packaging called "Colorful blush" Which consist of the same colour.
Overall Josie rating : ***
2. Sephora Collection Waterproof Smoky Cream Liner in "Must Have" $13CAD
This particular creme liner of mine isn't exactly new. But I think it deserves a review as well because it's from Sephora. I initially bought this because I was looking for something with consistence that was similar to makeup forever's aqua creme liner ( which i love to death) And the nice lady at Sephora told me about their collection of creme liners!
This collection comes with many colours i just happened to have gotten black. I wouldn't say the waterproof degree of the Sephora creme liner is the same as Makeup Forever ( because if any of you have tried it, Makeup Forever aqua creme liner is EXTREMELY waterproof that it becomes a b*tch to wash off after.) The Sephora creme liner is enough waterproof to withstand a little mist and perhaps some tears.
My favourite part of this creme liner for me would be how it doesn't smudge. I have had creme liners that makes me look like a panda after if i don't check up on my eye make up ever other hour or so. Also this liner is definately easier to wash off compared to Makeup forever. But because it's easier to wash off, I would not recommend it if you are planning to go swimming with it or singing in the rain with it.
Overall Josie Rating: ****
So overall I am pretty satisfy with the Sephora collection. It wasn't the BEST thing ever but it's definitely a good quality and easy to apply. While I was being a shopaholic at Sephora this past week I also picked up their "In Cap Sharpener" which was on sale for $1. I honestly think that was my best buy of the day, because it's so darn useful and handy. I just cap it onto one of my favourite pencil liners in my makeup case and i am prepared for anything!
I also looked into the new products that Sephora has came out with. I think I might get one of their new brushes sometime soon... maybe. Haha I've always loved their i.t. brushes because they are so colourful, but recently they came out with even more colorful brushes called double end brushes. They use to only have three or two variations but now they have four new brushes!
Besides getting Sephora products, I also got a little antsy in the pants and had to go buy another mascara. >_<
For those who knows me well. I already have a wide collection of mascaras. I absolutely love trying mascaras. Its not that I don't try to finish my mascaras up, but all the different formula and brushes are just. so. tempting.
And oh GOODNESS. If anyone that haven't checked out Benefit's new mascara called "They're Real" has to plan a trip to their Macy's or Sephora!
Benefit They're Real Mascara: $29CAD
Heck, if this mascara was food I would EAT IT! It is SO JET BLACK , which defines my short lashes so well. Although it says its not waterproof, I watched a the Butterfly Effect again yesterday and cried buckets, and to my surprised my mascara DID NOT smudge! I love this formula SO MUCH more than the Clinique one I had reviewed about eariler. The wand of this benefit mascara is also very unique and great because it even has bristles at the tip!
I LOVE this mascara so much.... that i think it would be unfair if i had to rate this because it would just turn out to be an other of those off the chart ratings....
Okay, so it's " WHERE IS THE SALE AT" Time!!
Due to my shopping week, I have basically looked all over Metro town, The Macy in Bellis Fair WA. and others.
So since I am Canadian and all. I am going to talk about Metropolis Metrotown first.
Sephora:
They aren't actually having an end of season sale or anything. But rather I just wanted to mention that if you are a huge Sephora shopper like me or a huge Sephora lover. Be sure to check out their sale rack where all the perfumes are. ( I am not sure where the location of the sale rack is in downtown Vancouver.) My good friend got a beautiful palette from Kat Von D. for ONLY $13 dollars! When the originally price is $39.
Sirens:
Sirens is having a buy one and get one half price on their seduction Jeans! Also their sales rack are filled with lovely 100% polyester tops for only $10 dollars I believe. Its lightweight chiffon and it reminds me of my Hollister top which was around 60 dollars CAD!
Sterling:
So onto the States! IN BELLIS FAIR, WA.
Macy's :
Sterling:
There is a 50% percent off last sale price their shoes!! Last week I told everyone about the sale at "Lets Call it Spring" But honestly I typically love Sterling more! In this particular sale, Sterling has flip flops and sandals for sale as cheap as $15CAD! And some of them are even from brands such as Roberto Vianni or Naughty Monkey.
American Eagle:
I personally didn't have the time to walk into AE at Metro yet. But I do know that they are having a sale on their jeans and jean shorts. There these pair of jean shorts for as cheap as $19.80. Also if anyone is still looking for some swimwear AE is having a sale on their bottoms at their sale section. From what I have heard it's around $6-7 CAD. I am planning to drop by after work tomorrow to pick up a scarf that they have on sale for around $10 CAD.
As for GENTS AE is having a sale on graphic tees for I believe around $14 CAD each. I am not sure about this particular one but one of my guy friend also told me that they is also a boxer sale at AE. Which are sold for around $9 CAD.
Steven Madden:
They are having a shoe sale. But Steven Madden are generally pretty expensive. I also didn't have the time to check out the exact pricing of their shoes. Though I would like to mention that I LOVE THEIR PUMPS!
There are obviously other sales going on. But they didn't catch my eye when I was at Metro.
So onto the States! IN BELLIS FAIR, WA.
Macy's :
For those of you who do not know what Macy is. It is basically a department store located in the States. There are not any in Canada that I know of yet. Haha. In Macy's like all department stores, they carry clothes, handbags, accessories, make up and shoes of all different brands. What I particularly like about Macy's is that they have a much wider variety of brands that is well suited for all different age groups.
ANYWAYS, I wanted to share with everyone that Macy is having a 40% off their Fossil Bags. And my dear god, Fossil bags are so sturdy! I recently bought one and I love it. I will soon be updating model pictures (after i find my camera charger today,.... ITS STILL MISSING!)
Also on their sales rack, I was able to find American Rag Jeans for merely $10 USD.
For the SHOE LOVERS out there, Macy has a sale on selected brand shoes. For certain Guess shoes there is a huge promotion for them. Even if they are not on sale. Guess shoes are much cheaper than the Guess shoes in Canada!
Target:
Target doesn't have a sale. But the things they carry is super duper cheap! I didn't have a chance to look at their accessories yet, but many tells me that they are worth it. I just wanted to make a shout out about their E.L.F make up brushes. They are only $3 USD each. They are cheaper than Eco tool brushes which has about the same quality!
Back to School Tip: Target actually sells school supplies as well. The binders they carry are cheaper than the binders at Staple.( They are only $2 USD)
I also want to talk a little about online sales and sites as well.
mexyshop.myshopify.com
as you can see on that webpage. There is a sample sale going on. But that is not the reason why i wanted to share this site. I discovered Mexy through another blog called I am so Jelly. Anna who is the blog writer took some photos of the things she bought and I absolutely fell in love with these bandage leggings Mexy carried.

They are also on sale for $10. So now I am debating if I should get them or not. Anna claims that their quality are better than Forever 21 and H&M but they price value is the same. Maybe i'll try them out?
Some people has asked me about my hair dyes and what not. So I decided to share with everyone a great hair product websites that carries Goldwell hair dyes. Goldwell has very good pigmentation. I would recommend to get their stuff because my purple hair has stayed for a year now. The only downside of this website is that you have to pay in USD.
I was going to share what I bought recently with everyone too, but my Camera charger is still missing. TT^TT Once I find it shall up date it right away!
Alrighties guys, thats all for today~!

Sales and Books and MORE!
It's Saturday, and looks like I am slacking off at work yet again. Haha. And not only that I've got a lovely friend/co worker to get off topic and fantasize about shopping as well. Ah, I am so horrible ;P LOL
Anyways, I just wanted to let you guys know that there is a HUGE sale at Spring the shoestore at Metrotown. I just went yesterday and I got a pair of shoes just for $20 dollars CAD! ( Like i said in my earlier post I will do a post on that after i find my camera charger so i can take pictures.)
Also for all the contact wearers out there, C U Vision on the lower level of Metrotown (near T&T) is doing a promotion of buy one and get one free. That means its cheaper than getting those color cons online!
As for clothing, I do not know how many of you have heard of Plenty. But I absolutely LOVE the clothing there despite how it's a little pricey at times. BUT THERE IS A 50%-80% SALE THERE BECAUSE OF RENOVATIONS! Huge reason why I am probably hitting the mall again today. Plenty has such classy yet cute clothing <3

My AMAZING Josie Maran Bronzer!!.. And my hair products
Hi guys,
I am back.... With the review I promised... My Josie Maran Bronzer review! I am cuttently typing on my iPad cuz I am on the run and oh goodness, i think it's time for me to get one of those bluetooth keyboards that can connect with my I pod. It's incredibly slow to type a blog post with this!
Anyhow, on to my review:
1. Josie Maran Bronzer powder in # 1 beach $39 CAD.
I've got one thing to say: I LOVE this stuff. It's so natural and smoothon my cheeks. Unlike other bronzers that I refuse to wear at times because I think it looks way too dark on my skin, the Josie Maran Bronzer is just perfect. It's not too dark nor too light that its like foundation. When I have it on its like I have sun kissed skin! and for someone like myself that does not get tanned easily it means A LOT!
Josie's overall rating: ***************** lol I just love this too much but my rating system is just usually out of 5 stars. Haha.
2. Goldwell color brilliance treatment. (60 Second Treatment)

I personally got this online at Beautybay.com for $10.80 USD. But I am sure that you can get it in Canada, because my salon lady also carries it as well.
In any case, I am not sure if I've ever mentioned that I have purple dyed hair. And I've had it for about a year of more now. AND MY COLOUR IS STILL HERE!~. But anyways, i still like to take care of my colour.
I tried this color hair treatment mostly because I love the hair dye Goldwell carries. ( IT STAYS IN FOR SO LONG!) And as I expected this product lives up to my expectations! It instantly brighten up my hair colour AND it felt a lot smoother. Goldwell claims that it provides UV filter protection to your hair and you only have to leave it in for an minute! This is definitively a product I recommend everyone with colour hair to invest in. Its worth it if you want your hair to me non damaged and beautiful!

3. Revlon Hydro Nutritive Conditioner $15.50 CAD
This is not a new product I've bought but since I was talking about hair products anyways I thought I should mind as well talk about my favourite leave in conditioner that works like a charm.
I am not sure if the price is still $15.50 CAD I use to purchase mine from Sally's Beauty (www.sallybeauty.com) but they don't seem to carry it anymore. The 500 ml bottles usually last me 6 months if not more. So I don't usually shop for these often. Although my most recent purchase was from my hair stylist and i know that you can get this for around $16CAD at the salon that is just outside of The Bay at Metrotown. (if you are from Vancouver, Canada)
Anyways, I wanted to review this product because I just love how convenient this product is. I almost never get knots in my hair because of this. I just spray it in my damp hair after shower and blow dry. I get super smooth hair with no tangles and it smells GREAT! Its smells like green tea and grape! how delicious is that?!
My overall rating for this would obviously be a 5. But because this is not a new product I won't be rating it in the way of all my other products.
Well thats it!
Love, Josie
OH And one more thing I went on a huge shopping spree today. I shall update on a new blush, clothing and a brand new pair of shoes soon! ( I need to find my charger for my camera, so I can actually take some of my own pictures for you guys.)

New Nyx product review
Hihi~
I am finally home from a long day of work! And I am exhausted from studying my music history material for the upcoming exam. Thus I am going to take a break and share with everyone my new Nyx products.
Just about a week ago, my lovely best friend went out and bought me some Nyx products from Save On Foods. ( Because sadly thats the only place in Canada that carries the brand Nyx.)
Anyways, here we go:
1. Nyx Slim Eye Pencil: $3.50 CAD each.
My friend (Sheep) bought me a total of THREE of these lovely liners, which consist of the colors Black, Light Brown and Pearl White. The three basic colors that I love and consume as if it's my favorite raspberry pie. These colors basically go with anything which is why i believe anyone that is starting out with make up should start with these three colors.
At any rate, how well and smooth of these liners went on my skin still leaves a smile on my face. I've tried all sorts of the regular drug store eyeliner such as Rimmel, Revlon, NYC, and so on. But honestly none of them has satisfy me fully, thus the reason why I have a lot of left over liners that I do not like. Instead I would spend my money at MAC for an eyeliner that is around 18.50 each! BUT after finding this product I don't think I need to spurge as much money on smooth liners again.
One particular thing that bothered me with this liner came up only with the color black. It was not black enough for me. Maybe it was because I love the contrast of Black against my eye shadow colors or just because it seems to make my eye look brighter anyhow, after applying the black nyx liner I would always have to reapply the black eye shadow "Creep" from my Naked, to darken the color.
Other than the black liner, I am perfectly satisfy with the Pearl White and Light Brown. It gave me the light look I was looking for. The light brown was comparable to one of my more favorable brown liner from Estee Lauder. ( Which I would share a picture with you guys right below! )
Hah, this is obviously not the coffee brown liner I was talking about, ( I couldn't find a picture of it) but it is the same brand and line of liners i am talking about the Double-Wear Stay in place eye pencil which costs about $20 dollars per one. In any case, as I was saying before Nyx liners could easily act as a replacement for these expensive liners for me.

2. Nyx Single Eye shadow. $5.50 CADeach
The massive variety of colors for this product makes me high and beyond hyper when I first encountered the brand and line of eye shadow. The colors all looked so luscious and lively; it was almost edible! This time Sheep got me two eye shadows to try out: Cool Blue, and Lagoon Sparkle.
I honestly wish I can say when I tried these colours it made me as high and happy as when i first found out about these eye shadows. Perhaps I had too high of an expectation, but the colours were 100 percent not pigmented enough. It would be okay if I used these colors to tone down some of my color liners, but if i were to wear them as just plain eye shadows adorn with black liners. It is not bright enough nor natural enough.
Next time, (maybe because of the colors I got was just not right for me skin tone) I think I'll test out some other colours from Nyx before saying a big fat NO to it. For many people do have good reviews for this product. I just happen to fail to see the goodness of these eye shadow just yet. (Perhaps I should try Frost Ocean, which is a very nice Navy colour.)
Josie's Overall Rating: **
I shall be updating a new post soon about my recently bought Josie Maran Bronzer. But for a preview let me tell you, its BEAUTIFUL! (: Oh, and coming soon I will talk about some hair products I absolutely love because of how well it keeps in the purple in my hair as well as new hair products I bought.
Okay guys, bye~
With love, Josie.
