I've decided add to my beauty lingo page later this week perhaps making it a beginner to make up page because lately I've become aware of how many girls out there who wants to start with makeup that needs a little guidance. If there are any suggestions of what to add feel free to comment (:

Like my last post promised, I shall talk about vitamins today! I know some of us don't take any at all while some of us eat those pills like there is no tomorrow. (x I personally have some vitamins because they do help.... how you may ask? Well.... shall we see? (:
Vitamin A
I am sure many of us has heard the goodness of Vitamin A of how it is an actual amazing treatment to acne, as a pill. While when Vitamin A is present in cream it will brighten up the skin, reduce pigments, and restore skin back to normal growth pattern. It will even IMPROVE and PREVENT wrinkles. Although everyone should be careful because one shouldn't have more than 1.5 mg of the vitamin A per day or else it's toxic to the body! ( Then it'll seriously be NO TOMORROW for you! )
A product infused with Vitamin A I LOVE is:
Vitamin C
The good old Vitamin C that is present in many fruits help prevent and fight colds as well as keep us in good health. In tropical products with vitamin C will reduce pigments and fine wrinkles. The vitamin also helps protect against some UV rays along with reducing scars Unlike Vitamin A, you can overdose on Vitamin C because the excess will be.... extracted..... into the toilet bowl... I hope xD
I do not buy actual Vitamin C serum but from time to time I do make my own from this recipe I got from a friend.... and I shall share it with everyone!
[I didn't have the time to actual make it so.... lets just pretend there is a nice picture of it even though there isn't]
D.I.Y. Recipe Vitamin C Serum
- Materials:Empty lip balm container or a small dark colored bottle
- 1 teaspoon L-asorbic acid (vitamin C) or camu camu powder - Purchase at any health food store
- 1 teaspoon of distilled water
- 1 teaspoon of vegetable glycerine - Purchase at any health food store
Instructions:
In a bowl, mix the L-asorbic acid or camu camu powder and water with a spoon. Beat and crush the powder with the back of the spoon to completely dissolve the crystals. Stir in the distilled water and vegetable glycerine. Pour your serum into an empty container and voilĂ , homemade serum! Store the container in a cool and dry place. Apply a thin layer of the serum to your face at night. If you like the results, bump it up to two times a day.
TIPS! If your serum starts to turn yellow it means it's oxidizing and the Vitamin C effects are diminishing. You should throw it away and make yourself a new batch! To use your materials and save your money i would recommend to never make more that one weeks worth of serum or else it will go bad. And of course everyone has slightly different skin, this serum may work for me but it may not work for everyone. TEST IT OUT ON A LITTLE SKIN FIRST!
Vitamin D
It is believed that Vitamin D may prevent cancer.. but vitamin D most defiantly helps our immune system. Doctors recommends us to take 1000 mg per day for healthy bones!
Tip: The sun does give Vitamin D but don't forget the sun also gives off UVB and UVA rays that are super harmful to your skin! So don't forget your sunscreen!
Biotin
For those who do not know what Biotin is: It is basically a B- complex vitamin which promotes cell growth and has metabolism of fats and amino acids. Biotin along with a good healthy diet will give us beautiful skin, strong nails and luscious hair. Oh, and good news! You can overdose on Biotin as well because it is just like Vitamin C ( It'll find a way out of your body)
An older friend of mine who suffers from hair loss takes this Biotin pill: ( Just thought i would share xD)

Just the other day, I was reading the newspaper (Its a miracle I actual picked up one because I just always read my news online) and there was an article about students in Surrey who are severely sick because THEY DRANK FROM EACH OTHERS BOTTLE! O.O
Like seriously, one of these baby ^ contains amazingly A LOT of SCARY bacteria. I, myself, am honestly amazed because I often share drinks with friends ( you know,.... to be more "environmental" friendly when really you are just too lazy to get your own ;D)
From this shock I did a little research over the weekend and I FOUND OUT MORE SURPRISING NEWS!
Did you know that those lovely cavities that dentists hates so much are CONTAGIOUS?!
You see these pearly whites? WELL, they can become filled with cavity bacteria from just sharing a drink or a kiss. YUCK! or even worse, gum diseases are also contagious ( when to those without teeth, such as babies!)
So to finalize my research I've decided that I will not ever share my drinks and NO SMOOCHING for the greater health of myself and others.

On my next post:
- A food edition post
- Tips for how to become sleeping beauty ( or just tips how to sleep well)
- general tips on makeup health
- AND REVIEWS ( I haven't had the time to come around to actual post one in a LONG TIME!)
Until next time! (:
With Love, Josie
